PHOTO ESSAY
A Short Reflection on the Past
Tree ladies at the zoo
Today, I decided to clean out old pictures that no longer serve me. To my surprise, I found this collection of photos I took on July 9, 2009.
Back in the day, my daughter and I were members of the San Diego Zoo and would go often. My daughter was ten; she is now 25. Wow, where does time go?
It was a hot summer day, so we stood under the trees to cool down. Suddenly, we felt something move, and to our surprise, it was one of the trees. I remember that we had a real scare.
Then I thought, no wonder so many people were taking pictures of the trees!
These trees were stunning, elegant, and simply beautiful. Like everyone else, I couldn’t stop photographing them. It was amazing when the trees started walking. They were walking on very high stilts, moving so gracefully.
